What’s New for 2025?
The most popular trucks for sale in 2025 include perennial favorites like the F-150, Silverado, Ram 1500, Tundra, and others. See what’s new for the model year before you buy.
Nearly every mainstream automaker has a full-size truck model, but several brands dominate the market. Ford, Chevy, Ram, and Toyota have trucks for sale this year that beat the competition. Let’s see what’s new with each popular model.
What’s New With the 2025 Ford F-150?
The Ford F-150 got a significant update in 2024, which remains unchanged for 2025. For those upgrading from an older Ford truck, a few differences for the 2024 and 2025 model years are worth noting. Drivers will notice substantial upgrades to the truck’s interior.
Now, the F-150 features a fully digital gauge cluster and a 12-inch center touchscreen. It may be less visible, but Ford also updated BlueCruise, its hands-free driving system, and tossed in a new base engine: a 325-HP 2.7L V6. The Raptor R model also got a power boost for 2024.
What’s New With the 2025 Ram 1500?
While Ford’s full-size truck remains unchanged from last year, Ram made substantial upgrades to the 1500. Buyers will notice significant mechanical changes to the lineup and a serious face-lift.
First, the 1500 offers a new twin-turbo I-6 powertrain to replace the Hemi V8. Ram also added the Ramcharger hybrid and Ram 1500 Rev electric powertrains to its lineup, although most consider these separate entities from the Ram 1500.
The 1500 got a serious aesthetic boost with new lights, wheels, and body colors on the outside and a move up to a 12-inch standard touchscreen in the cabin. As of 2025, drivers can upgrade to a 14.5-inch driver infotainment unit with a secondary 10.3-inch passenger touchscreen.
What’s New With the 2025 Toyota Tundra?
The most noticeable change to the 2025 Toyota Tundra lineup is the discontinuation of the TRD Sport package. This model year, it will be replaced with a new TRD Rally package that adds a new color motif referencing the Toyota Racing Division’s colorway.
Other changes to the Tundra include a switch to 18-inch TRD off-road wheels and Bilstein shocks and skidplates.
Elsewhere in the lineup, the Tundra SR5 gets standard eight-way adjustable front seats and an available power tailgate. Both the Platinum and Capstone models also get new massaging seats.
What’s New With the GMC Sierra 1500?
GMC hasn’t made many changes to the Sierra 1500 for 2025. The changes the automaker did make consisted of new 22-inch wheels, making cruise control standard for the Pro trims, and adding a standard trailer brake controller for all trim levels SLE and above.
Finally, Super Cruise is now standard on the Denali Ultimate trim.
What’s New With the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500?
The 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 saw only a few changes. Buyers can now choose from two new color options, and the WT models now feature standard cruise control.
Trims at the LT level and above now get standard trailer brake control, and the ZR2 features a standard Bose audio system and front and rear park assist.
