Looking for that perfect SUV? One that combines power with luxury and cutting-edge technology? You need to take a look at the 2025 Chevy Tahoe. Whether commuting to work or planning a family outing, the Tahoe offers the features to meet the demands of any busy lifestyle.
A New Diesel Option
The V-8 engine under the Tahoe’s hood stays the same, but the diesel option has more power and torque. Most of the Chevy Tahoe trims have a V-8 under the hood. It comes in the form of either a 5.3-liter with 355 horsepower or a 6.2-liter with 420 horsepower. If you like the feel of rear-wheel drive, you’ll love the Tahoe, but this is an SUV, so all-wheel drive is available at any trim level.
The newly updated diesel option is a 3.0-liter six-cylinder with 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque, a bump of 38 horsepower and 35 pound-feet from last year’s diesel.
Capability at Its Best
Who said you have to have a pickup truck to do any real towing? The Chevy Tahoe can tow up to 8,400 pounds now. This is almost as much as a full-size truck. To get to this towing number, you’ll need the 5.3-liter V-8 and rear-wheel drive.
While on the subject of capability, let’s talk about how many people this SUV can haul. With three rows of seats, it has room for eight, and there’s still room in the back for cargo. Don’t have eight people with you? Fold down the rear seats and open up the back. If you fold down both rows, you’ll have over 122 cubic feet of storage space to work with.
Customize Your Tahoe
The Tahoe comes in six trim levels, but these are just the start. Want more features, more capability? Chevy makes it easy with a variety of available packages.
The Z71 is capable of tackling all kinds of terrain, but add the Off-Road Capability package for a better ride. It has an adaptive air suspension and magnetically controlled shock absorbers to smooth things out, and better an electronic limited-slip differential to give you better traction.
More safety features are always better, and this is what you’ll get with the Premier’s Advanced Technology Package. It comes with GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driving system, automated parking, and adaptive cruise control.
Wow, That’s Some Impressive Tech
When you take a seat in the 2025 Chevy Tahoe, one of the first things you’ll notice is the 17.7-inch touchscreen that sits in the dash. It’s massive but easy to use. It comes loaded with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so connect your phone and get to all your apps and contacts. The latest Chevy Tahoe also comes with an 11-inch digital instrument cluster, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and wireless charging. Everything you need is right at your fingertips, but you don’t have to take your hands off the wheel to use them because voice controls are available, too.
