There are several races driven around the country every weekend for drivers to have a great time showing what their teams are capable of at the track. For many of the Toyota Racing drivers that have competed this season, it’s been a career time with race results that have been incredible and show the Toyota team is on their way to leading the different automakers around the tracks that are raced on every weekend around the country. Let’s take a look at some of the impressive finishes that have been experienced by the Toyota teams this year.
Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series
This race took place on May 6 at Dover, DE on the Dover International Speedway. To finish this race, Daniel Suarez found his way to a third-place result which was a finish that tied his career-best finish. The other race he previously finished third in was on the Watkins Glen International Road Course in 2017. Suarez was behind the wheel of the Toyota Camry for his team and other Camry drivers that finished well in this race were Martin Truex Jr. who came in fourth and Denny Hamlin who made it to seventh for this race.
NASCAR Xfinity Series
Christopher Bell found his way to the fourth spot during this race after starting on the Dover track in the 34thspot. Bell made his way through the field to make it into the top-five as he not only battled the field but power steering issues with his Toyota Truck. He led a trio of Toyota drivers that finished in the top-ten during this race which were Noah Gragson who made it to seventh and Pole winner Brandon Jones who found his way to the tenth spot. This finish allowed Jones to record his sixth top-ten finish of the season.
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series
This race marked the first NASCAR race with the father-and-son pair if Tundra drivers David and Todd Gilliland not only competed against each other but both found their way into the top ten. David made his way to fourth while Todd cracked the top ten with a tenth place finish for this race. Another Tundra driver found his way into the top of the pack with Harrison Burton finishing the race in fifth place as he drove his Tundra across the line in this spot to give Toyota a trio of top-ten finishers in this race.
K&N Pro Series West
Toyota driver Derek Kraus found his way to the pole start for the second time in his career for this race at the Twin 100s race at Tucson Speedway in Arizona. An early loss of the lead eventually made it possible for Derek to finish this race in the fourth place at the end of the race. In the second race, Cole Rouse found is way to fourth and Trevor Huddleston followed him across the line in the fifth spot to give the Toyota team another trio of top-five finishes on the tracks during this first weekend of May.
